I would recommend a liner for your mask so that you don't have contact with it. You may be allergic to it.
You can make your own liner or buy one from pad a cheek.
Be very careful for facial products as many of them can cause damage to the mask and/or cause the mask to slide around and have leaks.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

Yes, a mask liner is a good idea, like Remzzz or Padacheek. If you're talking about something to ease the pressure of the mask while sleeping, Lansinoh nipple cream is great, but only if you put on a tiny dab and work it into your skin until the surface feels slightly tacky... too much and your mask will leak. It's a natural product from sheep's wool and has no smell or taste. Use hot water and soap to get it off in the morning. Thousands here use it with their masks and I've never heard of any damage to the masks or anybody having allergic reactions.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Did you thoroughly clean your mask before first using it?
Many people don't and that causes redness and skin irritation.

Also, if you aren't, wash your face before you go to bed. I was good about always washing my mask, but not my face (always washed it in the morning). I would get very irritated, red rashes where the mask was. Since starting to always wash my face before bed, no more problems.
