I hope it solves your problems. I tried the F&P 431 FFM. Generally what I've heard about F&P products is that you'll know right away if they are going to work. I presume your mask's silicon cushion is single wall, so leaks will either happen or they won't depending on your face structure, pressure etc. A lot of people like Padacheek

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I trialed the Simplus mask all last week and I really liked it alot...but than the only other one I got to trial was the Quattro FX and really didn't like that one.
the Simplus is very comfortable to wear, I ended up buying it. I find the headgear much softer and stronger than the other one also it doesn't rub on the tips of my ears. the only issue I have is the pressure on the bridge of my nose, I wake up with a very red sore bridge. I will be ordering the pad-a-cheek cover (making sure it will fit first) that is supposed to relieve this problem.

The Simplus is a great mask. I've had mine since late summer and it's the best mask by far I've ever had. It seals extremely well, even when loose. In fact I've found that tightening it up past a certain point actually causes leaks as well as creating irritating pressure points. Ducky2, you might want to try loosening the straps a bit to relieve the pressure on the bridge of your nose. I find this mask to be very comfortable and very forgiving. It can slide around sideways and up and down and still not leak and it is very comfortable. The quick remove hose coupling is very convenient and the snap-off cushion makes cleaning easy. I have retired my Quattro and Quattro FX masks. Good as they are, they aren't as good as the Simplus. Highly recommended.

The Simplus single wall cushion has a different feel to it than the Resmed Quattro double cushions.

My humble opinion is that it is also less forgiving to pressure from pillows for side sleepers than the double walls.

For lack of a better description, It's almost like I can feel the harder edge of the single wall press on my cheeks more than on the double wall when it is fully inflated.

I really like the Simplus & I love the headgear!! But the Simplus hasn't replaced my Quattro as the primary mask.

here's my analogy / reasoning:

My Quattro is like an old shoe & has gotten very comfortable. After using it for more than a year, the headgear and forehead adjustments are just how I like them. I've gotten into a routine of putting it on and off every night with little or no fore-thought involved.

The Simplus is the newly purchased shoe... It's needs breaking in before I'm williing to discard my comfy shoe.

Plus, I have a supply of back-up Quattro cushions to use up..

LOL

Oh.... I use a pad-a-cheek liner on the Simplus too

I suspect that the feeling I get with the edge of the single wall on my face is totally related to the fact that I have fairly high bi-pap pressures. 19IPAP & 14.4 EPAP

My cushions get inflated and flex quite a bit at the higher Bi-pap pressures

anyone with pressures in the single digit range to 11 range may never even notice it.

I'm running at 8 and have no concept of what a pressure of 19 must be like. You must really have to cinch it down to keep the mask from blowing off your face.

When a mask is well designed, especially the double walled ones, the extra pressure should seal them even better. Notice I said should. With my Quattro FX FFM it's been a battle to get it to seal adequately all night long. I find I have to over tighten it a bit more than I like, but with the help of some Remzzz mask liners I've been able to make it fit comfortably and and not leak (over-tightening is common with people using this mask). That plus some nasal dilators to keep my nose open. BTW... you actually can re-use Remzzz liners for up to a week as long as you keep the skin contact part of the liner facing inward. I also dab some alcohol around the mouth area of the Remzzz just to quickly sanitize those edges. People say it isn't hygienic to reuse Remzzz, however ask yourself: Do you wash your pillow case every single day? No, of course you don't

Well after several nites of using the F & P Simplus I am not sure if I am going to keep it. It really fits nice on my face but I have to crank her down real tight to prevent leaks so it becomes uncomfortable. My pressure is set on 11. Last nite I wore my trusty Mirage Quattro and it felt much better. Also, it sure takes a lot of pressure for my CPAP machine to smartstart with the Simplus. The Quattro takes very little pressure for it to fire up. Does anyone know why the Simplus takes more pressure than the Quattro? I thought my CPAP machine SmartStart quit working the first nite with the Simplus, had to press the start/stop button after the several times I got up. The next day after making sure the CPAP SmartStart was turned on I tested the Simplus. I had to breathe real hard into the mask to get my CPAP machine to start.

A couple things for starting with smartstart for FFM's are the vents in the mask, and the anti asphyxia valve being open. If I use the preheat feature, my machine will start up when I have the mask over my face but not on. If I don't use the preheat, I might have to cover the vents and air flap (AAV) and take a quick breath to get the air moving in the hose.
