Mask for Stomach Sleepers

Hi old friends (for the few of you who remember me ). I finally am down to my very last AEIOMed Headrest mask I stockpiled, and I don't know what I'm going to do when this one breaks! I've been on CPAP for 8+ years now, and this is the only mask that ever worked for me. Now that the Headrest is no longer existence, is there anything comparable out there? What are the forum experts recommending to stomach sleepers these days? Thanks!

When you click "Go to the store" from the first link, you get an "unknown page" error message, and the second one will take you to the store, where it says "No longer available."

Too bad, because I'm interested in this too. I'm a stomach sleeper and I'm having problems with my mask.

I don't know of any online source with current stock for the Headrest. Google will sometimes give us some hits but link are either broken or the product is "no longer available".

I had the same problem with the links that LSAT provided...page not found and 'no longer available'

Not that I have seen that is actually similar in construction and the way it works.

You are going to need to investigate other masks plain and simple. No other mask does the vent in the manner that the Headrest does..but lots of masks work well with stomach/slide sleepers if they have a small presence on the face.
You might look at the mask I use. The Tap Pap and I don't use headgear at all... I end up on my stomach often with my head turned only slightly and often don't even realize I have a mask on.
Also SleepWeaver has some new models of their cloth masks that work well for stomach sleepers....might check them out too.

Thanks for the ideas, Pugsy. I like the idea of the TAP PAP, but I already have to wear a dental mouthguard at night because when I started using CPAP I picked up the bad habit of grinding my teeth as subconscious mouth leak prevention, lol. I've seen what I do to that mouthguard - I might destroy the TAP PAP. Haha.

My local DME (actually, they're owned by the same folks who own and run CPAPtalk and CPAP.com, which is why I switched to them) actually recommended the Wisp, and from some quick searches I've done here it seems like it's reasonably well-liked here. I may give it a shot! I remember SleepWeaver used to get a bad rap around here - I'm assuming they're better now?

Thanks for all the input, everyone! It's awful when you finally find a mask you love that works for you and then bam, you have to adjust to a new one.

I have the Wisp. Oddly enough, when I looked at your AEIO mask, I thought "Oooooh, that looks better!" I'm a stomach sleeper too, and the Wisp isn't all that great. It's very easy to get leaks when side sleeping or stomach sleeping, and you have to get your pillow juuuuuuuuust right to prevent the exhaust from bouncing back onto your eyes. I am looking for something that is less prominent on my face. On the other hand, the mask is very comfortable, as is the head gear. The head gear accommodates the over-the-head hose placement, which I like.

With the wisp, frame choice can make a huge difference. The silicone frame is so different from the fabric frame.
It sticks to my cheek, and holds the cushion out away from my face, leaving air pressure to inflate the silicone softly against the sensitive area around my nose.
The fabric acts like most other mask frames; allowing greater pressure on and around my nose. It is almost like a whole different mask.

The Activa is pretty good, with an almost silent vent, although it's rather large, so has more area to catch on pillows. Also it tends with me to sometimes pull upward, causing sores just under my nose. The smaller older Ultra Mirage can actually do better in that respect. I have been able to avoid it using the Hans Rudolph V2 FF. It is flexible and keeps the seal very well even pressing into pillows sleeping on stomach or side.
