Remstar Auto with C-Flex

Post by Sleeping With The Enemy » Tue Feb 15, 2005 11:56 pm

Just wondering what setting should my machine be at APAP or what? Also would like to know what the numbers on my machines screen mean. It says 16 and I never did get a straight answer when I asked before, you goofs!!

You know who you are!!!

The APAP machine has taken the place of the "Magic Mirror". The 16 is an objective rating of your place on the "fairest of them all" list.

Not bad. My wife, of course, would be at #1, but to be at 16 is still pretty darn good.

(I *THINK*, not having an APAP, that that would be the pressure the machine is currently putting out, but others are better suited to tell you for sure than I).

Liam, who'd rank somewhere in the 7-8 digit numbers.

I'm wondering if the 16 has something to do with hours? I read something about split night study on Remstar Auto...hope I don't have it set wrong.

Heidi, who is afraid the DME will take her machine away if she doesn't have enough hours on it!!

Does the number increase by one every night, more or less? If so, it would be the number of "compliant" nights (> 4 hours) that you have slept with your machine.

While the machine is not running it shows the total hours of use. When turned on it shows the current pressure (cm H2O).

It says hours 19.2--I know I've slept more than 19 hours since Friday night.
Also, should it be set at APAP or AFLE (I think that is what it is)

Thanks

AFLE is APAP with the C-Flex turned on. You will have to decide if you want that. I believe that if you set to AFLE, you can disable the C-Flex from the user menu by setting the value to zero - so why not turn it on??

I love the auto pap with C-Flex, mine is set to 3.
