Just curious how many of us would pay the $200-plus retail price for the new Hybrid mask...

Yes,

But only if I were sure it was perfect.
One perfect Mask= $200.00
Currently on my third not so perfect mask= $400.00
I found that buying a new mask waiting for it then getting it and realizing that it's not much better than what you already had is very disappointing.

The thing is- you don't know if its the perfect mask for you until you've already bought it and then it's too late and you're out $209.00.

It's too much for the gamble. It's more than twice the cost you pay for a Comfortlite 2, or a Breeze, or an Activa, or an Aura. Why can't it be under $100.00 like those masks? Its even more than you pay for the Hans Rudolph that you think is expensive because its so good but it hardly works for anyone.

Yes, with a caveat: My insurance pays for 70% of the cost of a mask every 6 months. I would pay $200+ out of pocket only if I knew for sure it was the perfect mask.

same here, so far i'm out about 170 bux on 3 masks, the flexifit 431 114 bux and the resmed mirage s2, 50 bux, and i got a brand new comfortgel nasal for free from my dme, but i think my comfortfull 2 was sold to me and the insurance people for the dme price, i might have paid maybe under 100 bux for it so i guess it does come out to about 270 for all 4, wow. so if it is the perfect mask then yeah, i will pay the 2 bills for it, but not with out trying it out first, one of the plusses to getting it through the dme, i have a 30 exchange warranty with any mask i buy from them.

With satisfaction guaranteed or I can return the mask within 30 days for a full refund?

Yes, then I'd be willing to pay $200 for a mask.

I must already have the "perfect" mask (if price is a consideration) because one of the local DME suppliers I surveyed last year (before I bought all of my stuff from CPAP.COM) quoted me $255 PLUS another $60 for the headgear, for the one I've got listed below. At CPAP.COM it was $140 WITH headgear.

The "perfect mask" is the one that works for you.

BTW, I voted "No".

Of course! I've already paid more than that for two FF masks that just don't work for me. The UMFF and the HC431..

It's not a case of, the perfect mask, no mask will be perfect at any cost. You have to make up your mind that something works for you and then live within it's limitations. I have two ff masks, both are far from perfect, but because I have to, I can get good treatment with either one.

I will try one more mask, but it won't cost $200, and i'm sure it will have it's limitations too. That's the way the world works. Jim

After buying six interfaces which include the Nasal Aire, Comfort Select, Swift, Breeze, Ultra Mirage FF, and the Aura with the Breeze remaining my mask of choice so far causes me to wonder if "the perfect mask" is not just an elusive dream. It would definitely be worth the $200 and I would gladly pay the price if there was a possibility that such a mask could be obtained.
I voted Yes for the poll.

If I could be reasonably sure that it was "perfect" or I could get my money back... yes. Otherwise, I'd really have to get some good reviews from people I trust.

The perfect mask for $200 Heck, that would be a price reduction in Canada since most masks are over $200 here.

Yike! I hope that's in Canadian dollars...
