apnia and atrial fibrillation
Re: apnia and atrial fibrillation
Pugsy, it was a great idea! Just for the moment not to be. I'm a data hound too--maybe too much, I get "ideas"--but I'm mostly concerned with my machines basic performance. Keep me oxygenated and the AHI low! and let the dreams be deep!

Re: apnia and atrial fibrillation
I'm new to the site.
I was diagnosed with Atrial Flutter in 3/2008. I've had 3 cardiac ablations and 9 cardioversions. Received pacemaker after 3rd ablation caused resting heart rate to be low 40s (which also causes fatigue). Majority of time, I woke up with A Flutter.
Sleep apnea study in 12/2008 said "mild", no cpap needed. Home sleep study in 12/2012 said mild with AHI 11; 2 nights total 14 minutes O2 sat < 88 %. Lowest O2 sat 59% (I just read the report recently).
Had I known my O2s were dropping, I would have gotten the cpap. I have it now (13th day). Only (wonderful) improvement noted so far is 1 trip to br, vs 4,5, and 6. If anyone had told me previously that frequent nightime br trips could be sleep apnea....Been complaining to drs about increasing fatigue, brain fog, memory problems, but I (and I guess drs also) thought it was medication related. And/or "sleep deprivation" from frequent br trips.
Ultimately, Jesus is my Healer! Looking forward to more energy and clear head!
