Re: Question...
I'm just north of LA. I've found a clinic that's fairly close and accepts my insurance. Will be calling them tomorrow!mrsbongo1 wrote:If you are in the Inland Empire, Loma Linda University in Redlands, CA has a really good sleep center. PM me if you want more info.

Re: Question...
kaiasgram and kteague,
Thanks for the welcome.
I will be looking into software to keep an eye on my treatment, but I do want to contact a professional as well just to make sure I'm starting off somewhere around where I need to be, and to learn a bit more about the condition my condition is in.
As of now, I can't sleep with the thing on, and the air I'm ingesting is just causing me pain and frustration. I think I'll be holding off until I can see a pro!

Re: Question...
My nonprofessional opinion should be subject to medical substantiation just as all internet input should be. I didn't suggest anything subversive. The manual to the machine would tell him more than I did.Mr Concerned wrote: She recommends that you alter treatment. You may want to ask her if she is qualified to recommend that.
Good luck with the sleep center close to you, allterrainpaul, I am certainly not against seeing professionals. Had more sleep studies than I can count on my fingers. Let us know how things turn out.

Re: Question...
I don't remember seeing that in the S9 manual.kteague wrote: experimenting may reveal you to do better on your side than your back regarding events, and staying off your back might keep your machine at a lower pressure. It's too soon to know anything for sure, but you are in a good position to go forward successfully. You don't mention any issues with being able to see a doctor, so if you're more comfortable with that route, by all means do so. But barring problems, it may not be necessary to wait.
Re: Question...
SleepyHead software IS compatible with the F & P Icon Auto. It's not as polished as the other brands but it gives sufficient data to evaluate therapy...events, pressures, leaks.
It must be version 0.9.3 though. That's the Windows version. The Mac version "might" work but it needs the Patch file for sure. The Windows version is easier to install since it includes the Patch with the install whereas the Mac Patch has to be installed manually. The older versions of SH weren't compatible.

Re: Question...
It's in this thread, page three though. I think 3rd post from the top on page 3.allterrainpaul wrote:

The first Patch talked about in this thread on page one is for the Windows version which Windows users don't have to do anymore since the latest version includes the Patch.
The Mac version hasn't been updated yet to include the Patch in the install so Mac users have to manually do the Patch file.
I am not sure if the Mac version with the Patch works with the Icon...I know the Windows version now does..but worth a try.
SleepyHead is much easier to manage than the official F & P Infosmart software and it is Windows only software.
Should you have access to a Windows computer and want the headaches that come with InfoSmart just send me a private message.

The OP was dealing with an issue and I merely pointed out, as an encouragement to the OP, that it may not still or always be an issue. Discussion is not medical advice.Mr Concerned wrote:I don't remember seeing that in the S9 manual.kteague wrote: experimenting may reveal you to do better on your side than your back regarding events, and staying off your back might keep your machine at a lower pressure.
