SleepyHead crashs in Win 7

Post by Phil_in_CA » Thu Oct 03, 2013 11:33 am

Greetings all,

I just helped a friend with a PR S1 Model 550 download and install SleepyHead.

After he imported data from his card, SleepyHead started crashing while viewing daily data.

Any ideas? Will check back later and thanks for feedback

Make sure you're running the latest windows services pack and/or run a windows update. Can also try running sleepy head in compatibility mode by right clicking on the shortcut, selecting properties then hitting the compatibility tab then selecting XP or something else. Update video drivers.

Sleepyhead worked fine for me on both Windows 7, and then after upgraded to Windows 8, no crashes. Make sure that you're using the latest version of Sleepyhead...can you please mention what version that you're using? You can get that in the usual place, "Help" -> "About Sleepyhead". The version that I have is SleepyHead v0.9.3-0 (beta), Build Date: May 18 2013 21:42:27. There may be a later version, but this one is working well for me on Windows 8 (at the moment).

If you have the latest version, and your Windows 7 is up to date with MS Updates, then I'd suggest uninstalling it completely and re-installing it. That might help you.

Thanks for the replies...

Don't remember the version he installed, so will check with him.

You've answered my question, though, which should have been "any know issues with Win 7?" probably should have been more concise.

I will uninstall and then do a "clean" install without TSRs running, via Windows Configuration.
