SH VSnore2 growing like a weed!
SH VSnore2 growing like a weed!
I'm curious about how to interpret the VSnore2 data in the AHI graph in the SH program. I've been on CPAP for a little over a month now. And in examination of my sleep data, I have noticed an increase of my Vsnore2 and Clear Airway score. My VS2 score have crept up to nearly 6, and my CA score has increased from nearly 0 to 1 (I know that that's a minimal score still, but they seem to be connected). My pressure is locked at 7cm; but I wonder if I should raise it to 7.5. Yet if I due, does that completely screw-up whatever "probational" phase I may be in with Medicare, and what they will cover? (It's been only 35 days since they dropped this machine off.) Also, I've been finding that I'm sleeping so much more (11+/hrs.) than before (6-8hrs), and not really shaking that "Zombie" off my back. Any ideas out there?

Medicare only cares that the machine is used a minimum number of hours each every night.
You are free to sleep longer--there are no additional fees.
(I never heard that they check what pressure you use--nobody gets paid to, so what do you think?)
More sleep is not unusual at first; most of us tend to "catch up" after a while;
and you may still be getting used to the machine, so your sleep may not be ideal yet.

Thank you Chunky. I'm always afraid of the "Big Man" overlooking my life. I am tempted to increase my pressure from 7 to 7.5 and see what the result.

Re: SH VSnore2 growing like a weed!
I had vsnore events terrible every night when I first started my therapy. I had a second sleep study done and they increased by pressure from 19 to 23. This cured the snore.
I was diagnose sever.
I would encourage you to bump it up abit every night until you eliminated your vsnore, or you can do like I did and wait for another sleep study. Which I realize now was a waste.
I wish you good luck with getting your sleep in order.

Thanks Bill, I think I'll increase .5 cm. I'll post changes in data. I'm not in any hurry to get to try and get to the "sweet point." My philosophy is "slow and easy."
