Still worried about leaks from mouth breathing even with tape.

I"m replying to my own post here. I can't figure out how to get the image to display, and the one time it magically happened, it was too small to read. I apologize for being unable to do this! I think I'm giving up on trying to get any input on this.

Re: Please help me interpret what I'm seeing
what are your pressure settings? From the looks of the 2 images you posted, one night the leak data looks pretty good to me (within acceptable range). The second night its not great but still within acceptable leak range. If it is bothering you or your bed partner then you may consider chin strap. Other thing to always consider is making sure your nasal passage is clear (use sinus rinse, ask pcp/sleep doc for prescription corticosteroid nasal spray if indicated) as improving nasal breathing can decrease mouth leak. If its really of concern than you could switch to full face mask.

Code: Select all

Your signature shows you are using an S9. So the Red Line to keep the leaks under is 24 L/min. On this night, your leaks are pretty much under control. Except for one very brief forray into Large Leak territory, your leaks are well under the Red Line for the entire night.
So if those leaks in the neighborhood of 7 L/min did NOT wake up or otherwise bother the quality of your sleep, I'd say that if your leaks look like this nights most of the time, then you can assume that your current regime of taping is working well enough.
