Tube Length Setting

Post by Lee Lee » Tue Jun 13, 2006 12:18 pm

I have a Resmed Autoset Vantange. I've been newly empowered to read the clinician's settings. And contrary to what the worthless DME said, I was not at all confused by the data. Except for one thing. The tube length setting is "2M". I have the Aussie Heated Hose. I can't for the life of me figure out what "2M' might mean.
Anyone?

I believe it means "2 meters" or close to 78 inches

meter is an itty bit more than 3 feet, so 2 meters would be 6 feets plus 2 itty bits.

A metre is 39.3700787 inches roughly.

This made me smile (not at you LeeLee)

I'm of the age where yards feet and inches mean something, whereas the metric system took hold in our schools some while ago so my kids (now grown up) haven't a clue what I mean when I say a yard, foot or inch.

Another benefit of the European Community

LOL! I remember many, many years ago in elementary school learning the metric system because we in the US would be switching to it. Thank goodness for all of that knowledge now, because I wouldn't be able to buy a large bottle of soda without it.

Lee Lee... good for you for getting the manual!

To be a bit more precise than in my earlier post, 2M=78.74015748 inches. LOL on trouble buying soda pop. Just think how lost we would be watching the Olympics if we hadn't learned the metric system in elementary school!

Im adding 18 inches to my hose, do you think that the 2 meter/6 feet setting should still be accurate enough?

Thanks!

Jack

So in other words 6 ft is good for 8ft of hose?

Thanks!

Jack
