I currently use a Resmed Ultra Mirage Full face mask which seems to work quite well for me my pressure is at 13cm. I have tried the Hans Rudolph without much success makes me feel very claustrophobic.Has anybody tried the Mojo Gel Cushion by Sleep Net? The host of this forum is offering it for sale. I am looking for a good backup mask something I can alternate back and forth
full face mask
The F & P 431, seems to be pretty good and comes with all 3 sizes. Jim

I tried the HR mask and was very disappointed. For being twice the price of other masks on the market it leaked badly around the nose and the head gear was impossible to adjust. No amount of adjusting seemed to work. I use a F&P 431 and like it... it's easy to put on and comes with three sizes of face seals.

I have not read any reviews about this mask on this forum.Engine88 wrote:Has anybody tried the Mojo Gel Cushion by Sleep Net? The host of this forum is offering it for sale.
If you click on the more info link on CPAP.com I belive the note says that they wont have it untill the 16th.
$180.00 is a steep price to try a mask so I will wait for some reviews.
Dittos on the F&P 431. I NEED a full face mask and the 431 has worked really well for me. My DME provider is getting a sample of the HR VIP 76 for me to try. I hate having marks from the rigid mask every single morning for a couple of hours after I wake up.
My alternate mask is the UMFF. It works good too, but leaks a bit more around the bridge of my nose... which = puffier eyes with more eye gunk in the morning. The 431 gives me puffy eyes too (to a slight degree), but until I find something better, I'll have to live with it.

Full Face Mask
About a month ago I switched to the Fisher Paykel Flex Fit 431 from the Ultra Mirage and love it. Have no experience with the masks you noted.
examine it closely before you buy.
the biggest problem with them jelly masks is they don't seal very well to the skin. They don't seal because of the "rolled" edge required for the jelly filling.
If you examine your UMFF cushion, you'll see it has a very thin membrane cushion that goes against the skin. Then behind it there is a more rigid cushion which helps maintain the cushion's form.
The UM series of cushions are designed to use your cpap air pressure to improve the seal with your skin. As air pressure enters the mask it pushes down on that thin membrane against the skin. By contrast a jelly mask has a round or rolled edge, this allows the air pressure to more easily get under the cushion between the rolled edge and the skin and push the cushion away.
To get around this, on a jelly mask you have to overtighten the headgear to stop the leaks. This then makes it uncomfortable.
I'll tell ya, I've tried nearly every jelly gimic mask out there, got a drawer full of that garbage, wouldn't give you $.25 cents for any of them, especially those boil-it types.

I think i've narrowed my choices to the Respironics comfort full 2 and Fisher and Paykels 431.I'm leaning slightly more to the Fisher and Paykel although this is the mask that I used in my titration and it leaked like the Titanic LOL . I think that it was a real bad adjustment. This was also the first time that I have ever had anything like this on my face.My machine is a Respironics series M cpap. I have been 100% compliant for the 6 weeks that I have been on cpap. Thanks for the input on full face mask.I also am not dealing with any DME and have bought it all from cpap.com in which I am 100% satisfied
