CM550D PLus Oximeter

Post by pikov22 » Mon Sep 09, 2013 3:51 pm

Between the small font and the Chinese-to-English translation, I have not been able to get a recorded session to show up on my PC (or maybe I don't have a recorded session!)

Here's what I did:

1. Press to get the menu
2. Tap until the arrow points to Record.
3. Press to turn recording ON.
4. Tap to go back to menu
5. Tap to get to Exit.
6. Press.

Now here's where I get confused. It says,

"In the state of storing, the device is on measuring interface, the sign "Recording" would appear on the screen in 30 seconds and then the screen will automatically shut down, only a flashing yellow dot appear on the screen...If long press the button, the device would return to measuring interface."

Isn't it "in the state of storing" right after step 6? If the screen is shut down, is it "on measuring interface"?

I thought that after step 6, all I had to do was insert my finger and go to sleep. Are there steps I need to take before that?

Also, how do I get the review program to keep my selections for language and units? I tried editing SPO2 Review.ini but the new values were ignored. I noticed that the SPO2.ini file doesn't have a blank first line but the SPO2 Review.ini does. Should I delete it?

Thanks.

What you described gets you into recording mode for a CMS50F oximeter so I suppose it is the same for the 50D.

That said, when you wake up in the morning, you'll have to end the recording session in the same way you started it. This time you set RECORD to OFF.

At this point with a 50F, you connect it to the PC via the cable, start SpO2 Review, and click on the tab that either selects a previous file or creates a new one.

Fill in the blanks with your name, age, weight, etc.
At the end click on OK.

SpO2 software will wait for the oximeter to begin sending data.

At that point, you press on the device menu that says UPLOAD and your data gets transmitted.

Bet you thought this was going to start with 'Once Upon a Time ..."

I don't have any advice about language selection, etc.

Wow, you're good! You answered the questions I was going to ask after I got the answers to the questions I _did_ ask.

In a nutshell, after step 6, do I just insert finger and go to sleep? Just ignore all that stuff about measurement interface et al?

Yes. You should see a little flashing dot on the display while it's recording. Just put it on your finger and go to sleep. As it so eloquently states in those instructions you quoted, the screen will eventually go blank but for that flashing dot.
