Mirage FX vs. Swift Nano

Post by Physician » Mon Sep 09, 2013 1:29 pm

Hi everyone. I've been successfully using the Mirage FX for years. What are the positives and negatives of changing to the Swift Nano ?

why don't you just try it out and see? everyone is different, every face is different. what works for one, won't work for another. you should be able to return it to your DME within 30 days risk free. or if you are buying out of pocket on-line, I think I read that there is free return insurance at CPAP.com.

The Swift FX Nano is extremely new to the US market...like just released last week so not many in the US have even had a chance to try it.
Other parts of the world have had it available longer.
Most recently since cpap.com (our forum host) has just starting selling the Nano last week so experiences from forum members are still extremely limited.
Some discussion here
viewtopic/t92096/Reviews-for-the-new-Re ... -Nano.html
and here and a few users from other parts of the world did chime in
viewtopic/t91974/Cpapcom-now-has-the-Na ... lable.html

Chances of finding a specific Mirage FX user who now has used the Swift FX Nano...going to be pretty slim and even if someone had there's no guarantee that your experience will duplicate theirs or that their pros and cons will be the same as yours.

All I can tell you is you will need to try it to see if it works for you. That's the only true test of any mask. One man's trash is another man's treasure.
Cpap.com is still offering free return insurance with the purchase of the complete mask setup. So if you hate it you can return it and get all your money back.

Great idea. Did try it out. Although the Nano has some good enhancements, the Mirage FX is better for many reasons. The reasons were so obvious that I didn't bother using it overnight.

Should I list the problems/differences in this thread (which makes sense because the comparison to the Mirage) ? Or did you wish it placed here: viewtopic/t92096/Reviews-for-the-new-Re ... -Nano.html

Sure, why don't you put your observations/review in the Nano review thread that you cited...that would be helpful to see there, thanks.
