robysue:
I'm certain that there are people here on the CPAPpalooza who do all sorts of things with all sorts of items which the creators and marketers never EVER envisioned. Great sleep with kinks beats apnea.
As far as I'm concerned, if old bubble gum, used dental floss, or fossilized mashed potatoes helped keep somebody's mask comfortable and without leaks, they'd use it.
How Tight Is TOO Tight?
Re: How Tight Is TOO Tight?
when my cushion starts getting old, I have to make my masks tighter and tighter. See if you can't get regular cushion replacements.

Good Lord, it worked!
I applied half of one of those woman things to my face at mask time last night. It went on easy beneath my QFX and covered the right side of my face from nose level on a 45° angle to the turn of my chin.
When I woke up today at 6:30 (yes, another great CPAP sleep), I hustled into the bathroom (not for the usual reason), flipped on the light and took off the whoojie-whatchee.
Behold, my right side had no deep creases. The left side which did not have 'protection' had the usual creases.
As that 60's rock group sang, I'm a believer.
But I'm not telling anybody except you good folks on here.
