New APAP has stopped recording data after four days.

Post by SteveGold » Wed Aug 28, 2013 5:47 pm

I just dropped $1,000 on this thing, specifically to have insights into horrible nights like last night. Is there anything I can do to fix this? It seems to have stopped recording around 3:00 a.m. a few nights ago.

what prompted you to think it stopped recording data? are you getting error messages on the machine display itself or in sleepyhead or rescan? if you give more information i am sure one of the veterans here can help you. is your card in the machine all the way?

Thanks for the level-headed response to my not-so-level-headed original post.

Yes, the card's been in the machine for a few days - it clicks in. I just copied the contents of my card to my computer and noticed there's nothing new since the last time I checked it. The date stamps on the existing files support this.

I've popped it back in and we'll what it looks like in the morning. I've had nothing but good nights on it, so I was curious to see what a wretched night looks like in graph form.

Try going into the clinical menu on your machine, make sure Sleep Quality is set to on. Take the card out of the machine, verify that the switch is in the unlocked position. When you return the card to the machine does it recognize the card? It should popup a Please Wait window with the message Reading SD Card.

That did the trick. Thank you. Sleep Quality was "off" for some reason - something to watch out for.

Thanks - I will literally sleep better knowing this is solved! Much appreciated.

Sometimes it also helps to unplug the machine and then plug it back up and let it reboot. I was just having a problem with mine not showing everything. It would maybe just show pressure and a few other things. Turned out the SD card was bad, formatted and installed a new SD card and everything is OK now.
