I'm assuming you're from THAT board. Well, we typically don't badmouth other boards here. We can stand on our own and don't have to badmouth other boards.

I would post the link and tell you to read it for yourself, but the moderators/administrators have conveniently removed all the posts that would explain it. So, I'll take a second and explain it to you.

One of the moderators/administrators posted and made a snide comment about the "other" cpap forums (no doubt meaning this one). Oak very politely posted that the comment was unnecessary, asking why it was necessary to bash other forums? A disagreement ensued and Oak finally said that "we should agree to disagree" (which is a good way to end it). But moderator/administrator said 'Oh no, can't do that" and continued aruging over it like a child, ultimately saying something to the effect of "we can agree to disagree, but in this case, you are dead wrong!!"

And some of what Oak was being accused of being "dead wrong" over -- she (am I remembering oak is a she???) was not. She was 100% correct, which means THAT forum has no problem lying/being wrong to make themselves look better.

If they are proud of taking that stance and proud to take the first shot in a forum war, why did they remove the posts?

THAT stands on its own as well.

And for the record, I do NOT have anything better to do at this moment. When I do, I will.

Yep. I don't remember when or why I joined that forum, but I stayed here. I have no doubt there is good information/good people on that forum, but the moderators are too involved and too controlling to allow it to function in a manner that is good for the members.

I mean dang -- an agree to disagree comment is handled like that? I just shake my head. I just wish I had had the forethought to copy the posts before they removed them.

Actually, it took me quite awhile to find which forum you were talking about......I thought it was the OTHER one. And, to be honest, this is the first time I've actually looked at the forum you were banned from.

THIS forum is the only CPAP-related forum I've ever been a member of.

Cheer up. It's their loss.
At least we know that they're actively reading this one, too.......

I joined this forum and 2 others when I first started cpap to see what sleep apnea was all about. It didn't take a brain surgeon to figure out that this is where I got the most help. I almost got banned at the other forum for posting a link that would of helped the person out greatly, and was told that wasn't allowed and if I did it again I would be banned.

You are not to blame one bit for what happened. I mean, banning people the way they did speaks for itself.

I had PM'd some folks but hadn't kept in regular contact with anyone. And I never posted on the board. So no big loss for me.

It just makes me appreciate what a great board this is.
