You are right of course, what works well for me may not work so well for others. Exercise is all about motivation and finding what works for you.49er wrote:Todzo, with all due respect, having people count out steps in exercising can seem like a royal pain in the neck to folks who find the thought of exercising overwhelming. Many times, I have found it alot easier to simply incorporate exercise whenever I can such as parking further from stories and taking the stairs at metro and my apartment building. Over time, that makes a big difference.
And I also move my body when I feel the need to. For example, if I am sitting at the computer for too long, I will start dancing rigorously for as long as I can do it until I am out of breath.
As far as advertisements for junk food, personally, that issue isn't at the top of my list. I am more concerned about the psych meds that kids 5 and under are getting when the diagnosis of mental illness is questionable. And by the way, that is a huge contributor to obesity. But of course, no one want to blame the meds.

I never expected this thread to go as far as it has even. I simply wanted to make us all aware of how our future is threatened by the greed of others.

Take care,
