I know they tell you Gatorade, but I put my Miralax in electrolyte water and it wasn't disgusting at all. It also didn't send my blood glucose and insulin levels soaring into the stratosphere and then dropping like a stone, which would have really made me feel like crap. They are afraid people will get hypoglycemic from lack of sugar, but for me, with reactive hypoglycemia, the bigger danger is that sudden increase then drop.

Glad to hear that everything went smooooothly...

What are the odds that those 3 polyps were the cause of your insomnia...? We can dream can't we.

I am glad to hear that it went well. I know I will be faced with one of those in the future. Maybe I will dread it less now.

I got to see everyone else lay there, out of it, while they were being told their results and asked about who would be bringing them home. (Why weren't they asked before they were sedated?)
The clinic where I had my procedure was very clear that they would not do the procedure without being given a name and phone number of my ride home. Since the doctor's office was about three miles away, I decided to walk to my appointment, and had a friend available to pick me up.

When I went for my colonoscopy, I saw someone leaving who was seriously doped up. I certainly didn't want to be in that condition, so I specifically asked for half sedation, and the doctor obliged. I had both upper and lower and was awake for both. For the colonoscopy, I actually watched and talked with the doctor throughout. There was some discomfort, but I was happy to not be doped up.

They wheeled me out to Recovery and ten minutes later, I was dressed and ready to go. A nurse walked me out and couldn't believe I was awake through the procedure. I told her some of the things that occurred, and she was shocked. My ride showed up, and had been given instructions that I was not to be left alone for the remainder of the day. When we arrived at my house, I was perfectly fine, so I sent her on her way... and went to the gym!
