Night without CPAP

Post by dchula » Wed Jun 07, 2006 7:36 pm

Hey yall,

After being on CPAP for an extended amount of time, has anyone seen their sleep improve on nights without it? And if you do miss a night, is the next day as bad as before you went on the CPAP?

Cheers

Don't know (on the first one)......I haven't had a "hose-less" night in about a year. After this long, I can't sleep in bed without it.

Might depend on the severity of your condition on how long you've been using CPAP. I doubt if one or two nights would do it, but if you don't HAVE to, why bother.

Best wishes,

Den

I have been on cpap for 5 months now and I can tell you that one night without or even one night of non productive cpap (mask leaks etc) and I am right back to feeling like I did pre cpap. I will not go without it ever again.

If I am without CPAP, I was one night when the mask broke, I have to sleep on a recliner at not much of a angle. JIm Not a fun night!
