Congestion caused by allergies?
Environmental noise confusing your machine?
Weight loss making the mask somewhat looser and leakier?

Noise transference from the hose rubbing against something?

Otherwise, Ozij's thought about noise around the machine seems to be a likely culprit. A fan? Air conditioner? Pet?

Are your leaks going up also?

Have you tried increasing the pressure until the snores are eliminated to see if that also lowers your AHI?

All of the above, and perhaps your connections aren't right. The hose to humidifier could be lose. Or, your humidifier to machine isn't seated.

In other words, external noises can/will be recorded as snores.

snoring

Post by bulldoger » Fri Jun 09, 2006 6:23 am

I have 2 humidifiers a hc150 and the one that came with my remstar. Last night I went back to my remstar one to see if my snoring would go down, it went from about 75 to 7. So I guess there is some noise that is being picked up when I use the hc150.

What do your numbers look like since you first posted this?
What's your pressure setting?

When I bumped up my pressure to 12 cm. (in March), it further reduced my SI. A little more pressure may get your AHI down, too.

Best wishes,

Den
