I took copies of my most recent blood work (almost 2 years ago), sleep study report, and a "typical" Sleepyhead report. I told her that my OSA issues seem to be fine, but I still have poor sleep and it's driving me nuts. I also told her about my concerns that my antidepressant meds and bowel movement feelings in the gut contribute to poor sleep. Here's the plan now:
- Aerobic exercise 30 min/day, 3 days/week for 3 weeks, followed by:
- New blood tests (comprehensive panel, lipids, and thyroid panel)
- I also got a referral to a sleep specialist
I really, really hope I can figure out what the underlying issue is. I would give anything for a good night's sleep

Re: saw my PCP today
sorry you are feeling crappy. sounds like you are on the right track now with your blood tests and referral to sleep specialist. good luck to you. just a question--is your mask working out okay? you dont say anything about the mask in your post.

Re: saw my PCP today
Thanks. I think the mask is working out OK. It does leak, but it doesn't go over 24 L/min for too long. I use the humidifier, climateline tube, and tape over my mouth, but my lips still get dry, and my mouth does get a bit gummy. I've tried the Mirage full face mask before and couldn't stand it.
