My son had a sleep study in Santa Monica, CA and this (Rematee) was a brochure the doctor put into the packet with his results.

It's fine as far as it goes. If side sleeping cures ones OSA then it's a good solution. IMO, most people need a more comprehensive airway solutions, such as CPAP. There are lots of threads on this forum recommending stuffed backpacks, bolster pillows and such. viewtopic.php?f=1&t=89997&p=827072&hili ... ck#p827072

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I can see where it will benefit someone who has more apneas on there back then on there side. Side sleeping for me reduces the number of apneas that I have, if I should get on my back it's way to high. In my sleep study I was 51 on my side and 99 on my back. Nothing ventured nothing gained, if you think it might work go for it. I'm sure a lot of us have stuff laying around that we bought that doesn't work, I know I do.

I guess what I was trying to suggest above was to have him try an old loose fitting daypack (backpack), stuff it with a few towels or whatever, then test that for a several nights. If he needs to buy something that is designed to do the job, he can buy it after the daypack experiment shows results. I've probably got half a dozen of those cheapo daypacks around: The Audubon Society and Defenders of Wildlife send me one every year, for some crazy reason.

Seems rather a very expensive way:

http://www.antisnoreshirt.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=115

to arrive at the same effect created the DIY way by a pocketed T-shirt worn backward with a tennis ball in the pocket, or a small soft-materialed backpack stuffed with towels, etc.

I would try the DIY way first, if it were me and I wanted to avoid sleeping on my back.

Best wishes, Nate

DH's apnea is almost entirely on his back, but he does not use gadgets to stay off his back.
