Well there you go!

You have problems sleeping because you are a grown man, have no job, living a life of leisure and working out at the gym, and still living with your dear productive parents both of whom work all day.

Ever think about getting a job, renting a place and getting out of your parents hair and off their dole?
And this really stupid attitude is helpful, how?

Because until he dials in his therapy he probably can't get out and find a job, even assuming there is one available.

Last I heard there were no jobs ... especially for young kids fresh out of school (or still in school) and no experience ... even if he moved to China where the corporate fascists moved all the jobs, unemployment is rising.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Did he say he doesn't work? All I see is that his parents work early. He may work later in the day. Not everyone works 9-5.

All the more reason not to slam someone for "being on the dole" like the original poster did who I replied to.

If you are asking how I feel after I wake up after my sleep in its entirety then I feel pretty okay

The reason why this waking up early as hell bothers me is because my parents who live upstairs wake up for work sometime later and it disrups me falling back asleep because of their footsteps
To me this is a clue that you are also waking up at 5AM etc. (Not merely the later wakeup by your parents' footsteps.) due to some external source rather than internal behavior.

There may be a noise or vibration or a change in a light source occurring nearby or in the neighborhood that wakes you, and you say you do manage to get back to sleep but it is annoying. It could be something as simple as a FedEx or DHL cargo plane flying overhead at that hour. It doesn't have to be a roar - could be a very mild noise or vibration just over the human edge of the dog-whistle band. Different people are sensitive to different frequencies and volume.

Consequently I would suggest that you try to rule in/out this external source possibility by sleeping with sound-deadening earplugs and a sleep mask. One night alone won't necessarily make a difference, but I would try this for a week. It might completely solve your problem and get you 7-8 hours asleep. (Also keep in mind that when most people say they "slept through the night" they are actually including short, momentarily wake ups where they fall back asleep without difficulty. Shoot for that first.)

Then report back.

Regards, Nate

PS - Also, what time does sunrise begin where you live:

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/sunrise.html

If the sleepmask over your eyes resolves the problem, you might consider going further and getting a room-darkening window shade or drapes at Target or Penneys etc. if you prefer not to permanently sleep with an eyemask or if it interferes with your cpap mask.

Thanks Nate this seems of what I was thinking during 5 am the sun is out but at 4 am it is still dark. I use blackout shades that darken the room. However I have my door opened to let in the ac air which lightens the room a little bit.

The only way I can test to see if this is the reason for my wakefulness is to wait until summer is over so that I can one day sleep without the ac being on.

If that is not the case then is it possible that my brain knows exactly what time it is to wake me up?

And my last idea would be if it has something to do with REM because I do dream around that time too and I think I woke up today in the middle of my dream

And @ above my pulmonologist doctor is not well educated with sleep apnea or his take home device does not detect centrals. I had to diagnose myself with mixed or complex sleep apnea due to the fact that he never heard of complex sleep apnea. And the home test result showed no centrals. Maybe it does not pick up centrals who knows...

I do have a job a 3-11 and go to school so I am not on my dole as you would think. I am also 22 years old if that helps

That might be a BINGO! clue! I was taught that the only dreams you are likely to remember are ones which were in progress in REM sleep when you were abruptly jolted out of REM sleep by an external source; that gradually leaving REM in a normal manner usually erases your recollection of your dreams. When something jolts me out of my sleep, I can recite my last dream to my girlfriend in amazing and ridiculous detail! At all other times, I can at most say I think I had some dreams but I can't remember a thing about them!

But I respectfully disagree that you have to wait 'til the end of the summer to try to address this issue - sound deadening earplugs and a sleep mask are inexpensive possible remedies you could try immediately. (I understand about the A/C.)

Best wishes, Nate

PS - When I was in grade school in a prior century, we would occasionally have "educational films" shown. One I vividly recalled showed how scientists completely screwed up the lives of some poor worms by keeping them in the dark during the daytime and turning on bright lights on them during the night! Maybe I shouldn't be laughing.

The waking up from dream does not happen often. At least from what I remember. And I do use a sleep mask and ear plugs along with a sound conditioner machine. All that included I still can hear my parents walk when they wake up at around 5:45. Not really walk but a footstep or two. But that does it to keep me from falling back asleep everytime I hear them

When you wake up do you need a trip to the men's room? If so take your last drink a little earlier in the night. I have an alarm set for when I want to get up. If I wake up I don't look at the clock and go back to sleep. For me this got me back into synch and I now sleep later in the morning and the alarm wakes me.

Okay basically this is how it happens

When I do hear them I do not fall back asleep because it sort of like jolts me awake. Usually I do not hear them at all and fall back asleep. The frustrating part is that on the days of hearing their footsteps, the recurring noise prevents me from falling asleep. So if I prevent myself from waking up prior to my parents waking up, I would be a happy camper

Can you ask you parents to not put their shoes on until just before leaving the house?

Lol funny thing is that when I went upstairs to speak to my about this for the 7th (it is around 7) time she did have her shoes on. And my dad walks around like nothing is even going on. When I just had a disscusion about this with my mom and hopefully she helps in lowering the noise. But I have to keep telling her this which gets me a bit more tense but I do believe that she will listen soon enough

My main concern is why am I waking up at 4 and 5 am every single day. I know that if I can sleep soundly, I would bypass the noise that they make

If you look online I am not the only who has this. But if there is an explanation or an idea of wth is going on that would help me a whole lot. I have my suspicions but im not sure it is accurate
