The current crop of xPAPs can dectect an apnea that occurs when the airway is not obstructed.
This most probably indicates the occurrence of a central apnea. No machine will increase pressure
in response to an open airway apnea. It would make central more likely to occur.

As for 30 psi, the units of pressure used by xPAP is cm H2O (centimeters of water).
And 30 psi = 2109 cm H20. That's over 100 times the top pressures of most CPAPs, which is
20 cm H2O. (FYI, that max of 20 cm H20 is only about 0.28 psi.)

So while it feels like a hurricane up your nose, it really isn't that strong.

Would someone on the forum please DM me a link to the S9 software so that I can read the SD card?

To somebody

I tried to pm the person that seems to always answer this question but was unable to make that system work since I don't know your name.

Evidently you are the one with the s9 software or link. Can you please send it to me. I am new to the machine and have just had the pressure adj after 2 days and don't like it and I want to experiment both directions from the test results to find what I am comfortable with.

Also, I have two masks both remeds, the quattro pro and the other that allows, sort of, the ability to wear glasses. I'm not real happy with either. I have ordered one that goes in your mouth to try and see how it works. The best masks I have found so far is a WWII military M14 o2 masks that I picked up some where. It's comfortable and fits great. I am going to try and duct tape it to my hose and see if it works. What masks do you like.

I hate the fact that of the nine + countries that the s9 machine is sold in, the US is the only one that requires a RX for the machine and the masks. Just another example of our corrupt medical system screwing the people.

Thanks in advance,

noelvm

Actually several of the forum members have the link but I happen to be here a lot.
so check your PMs

Do you have the provider manual for your machine...it's different from the user manual.
If you don't have it...here it is.
http://www.apneuvereniging.nl/forum/pdf ... manual.pdf

You can also use SleepyHead if you like for software. It does a few cool things that ResScan doesn't
I have links for SleepyHead and how to use it in my signature line.

Hi, newby to posting on the forum but been using my Resmed S9 Elite CPAP for almost two years. Started experiencing panic attacks early in stage 1 of sleep this year and thought I would like to start looking at my data to see what's going on. I've lost 25-30 pounds over the two years on treatment and was thinking my pressure might be too high now. Can you please link me to the Resmed S9 software?

Thank you so much. These boards have been a life saver.

Hi
Crashed computer, resmed software lost, could someone please PM it to me
S9 user in Sweden.
In Sweden (and EU) we need special drivers licenses for motor homes over 3,5 tons. Untreated apnea is a ground for denying the Health clearance, however a treated apnea should be OK. So I need statistics Before seeing my doctor about a Health check.
