I was thinking about taking a cross country train trip with my cpap and stated thinking about the rocking motion of the train and using either a stand alone humidifier or using an integrated humidifier on board.
Would the rocking motion of the train cause the water to get up into the motor and/or wires of the cpap? Has anyone traveled on a train with their cpap and had a problem with using water in the machine>
thank you
travel on train with cpap and humidifier?
Re: travel on train with cpap and humidifier?
Either don't use the humidifier or fill it less than half way.

I think you're better off skipping the humidifier. Better safe than sorry.

Be sure you're going to have power as well.

Re: travel on train with cpap and humidifier?
From several recent posts (one with a machine bouncing around in a truck, the other
of a machine pulled off of a nightstand, both with water in the tank), it appears that
the PR S1 dry box humidifier design really works.
Only PR S1 machines have dry box.

Under those conditions, my ResMed S8 would be toast. (Well, soggy toast. )
