Swift FX Strap Positioning Problem
Swift FX Strap Positioning Problem
I use the Swift FX nasal pillows.
I don't have any real problems but I am concerned by the position of the straps on my face that connect to the pillows. They sit just under my eyes and cause discomfort.
I've tried adjusting the top and back straps but can't fix it. I side/stomach sleep. Does anyone else have this problem? How did you fix it? Any advice or experience greatly appreciated.

Re: Swift FX Strap Positioning Problem
I have found that putting my Zeo headband on over the headgear tends to hold it down.
Maybe you could use a stretchy headband a la Rambo--see if that works.
Maybe even a rolled up bandanna. I would prefer a bit more stretch than the bias kerchief, though.

Does the Zeo sit on the forehead?

Hello to a fellow Aussie
Have you tried using the bella loops? I found that the regular headgear tended to slip up or down quite often for me.

Re: Swift FX Strap Positioning Problem
Yes, I've used them but they REALLY hurt my ears and I found more movement than I was comfortable with.

Thats a shame, I find them really comfortable.Chikorita wrote:Yes, I've used them but they REALLY hurt my ears and I found more movement than I was comfortable with.
Re: Swift FX Strap Positioning Problem
Fix yourself some fleece side strap covers and see if that helps. The little thin covers provided with the mask are rather....thin..
If you are handy, they are easy to make or you can get some from Karen at Padacheek.com.

I sleep primarily on my side and I found the fleece made for a better padding.

Re: Swift FX Strap Positioning Problem
Will the fleece stop the strap moving up? Or just make it more comfortable?

Re: Swift FX Strap Positioning Problem
I don't know about the side cheek strap movement...I never really had that problem but then I got the Padacheek fleece covers straight away because I had used them with the prior Swift LT mask. So I never had that problem to start with that I remember.Chikorita wrote:Will the fleece stop the strap moving up? Or just make it more comfortable?
I used a firm buckwheat pillow and sleep on my side and with the firm pillow even a wrinkle in the pillow case would leave a "wrinkle" mark on my cheeks so that's the main reason I added the thicker fleece. I didn't like having that wrinkle scar for half the day.
The side cheek straps really shouldn't move all that much though...so makes me wonder why yours does.
You are the first person I remember reading about having problems with the side straps moving around on the face.
Maybe buy a small fleece remnant from fabric store and make your own covers to see. Just needs one layer wrapped around and you could use scotch tape to secure or iron on hemming tape or something similar. Don't want any bulk with overlapping seams. That's what I did with my homemade strap covers before I decided to buy the Padacheek covers. They were ugly but they did the job. I just used a bit of scotch tape to hold the sides closed.

Re: Swift FX Strap Positioning Problem
The Zeo headband fits around the head like a hat band, with the sensor on the forehead, right above and between the eyebrows.
Even a baseball cap might help to stabilize your FX headgear. --at least a lightweight one.
I guess Rambo was before your time, kid.

Resurrecting old post: Swift FX Strap Positioning Problem
Resurrecting this old post.
I still have a problem with the straps on my swift fx moving and sitting under my eyes.
I use the pada cheek fleece liners for the fx and have tried fixing one strap under my pony tail but nothing works.
I wake with my eyes 'squashed' from the straps.
I really like nasal pillows and I'm looking at trying the Airfit P10.
Any suggestions or comments from pillow fans out there would be appreciated.
