This stuff is slightly on the 'spensive side! Do you buy it? If you do, where do you usually get it?

My husband suggested the same thing this morning.

But I'd have to chew it first. . .

ick.

And then I'd have to get the jar of peanut butter down to get it out of my hair because my body heat melted (hot flashes and all) it into everything that touched it. . . well. . .you wouldn't have a problem, I'm sure, 'cause you have short hair. . .but certainly me.

oh. . . my

If I do this one as a test. . .there will have to be before and after pics. Yep.

Ha! Snoring doesn't wake anyone up, but when the bubble bursts!

What a visual ... there I am sleeping as this bubble grows... BANG!

Since sodium alginate is a vegan alternative to gelatine; I do not buy it--I like gelatine so much better.
The problem with gelatine is that it softens with heat, and the stickiness turns to slippery.
It seems to be skin safe, though. (We've used it for gross Halloween makeup effects--zombies)

We have a healthfood store not too far from here - I'll take a look and if it isn't too costly, I'll pick some up. It's high enough in protein that it will probably work very well. Though I'm a little wary of using food stuff. . .wouldn't want food poisoning up the nose. . . (I'm sure it's easy enough to wash or wipe off)

What about Argan Oil - I don't think it has petroleum in it. It works great for my hair, keeps it silky without flyaways & frizz. Maybe just a drop or two for each nostril???

Also, this was a tip someone gave me that really works great - O rings on the nasal pillows themselves (not in your nostrils!). I use a size 9 from Home Depot - these are found in the plumbing department. No, really I'm not kidding, I use these and it works. Helps with both the seal and helps the pillows to last longer.

That's actually a pretty interesting, and good, idea. Think I might give that a try myself!

Argan OIl - will pick some up at Walgreens next time I'm out there. Thanks.

O-rings - my husband is about to fall in love with CPAP!! Well, that's what this is all about - finding as many solutions to sealing those pillows up as possible. I'd a never have guessed!! LOL. It'll give hubby an excuse to go to Home Depot or Lowes!

Thanks Jen!

I was thinking about this as I got ready for bed tonight. Had a visit from the aliens last night. So, with TapPap washed and dried., I put a dab of silicone facemask sealer on each pillow. ... wait, what did you put on? Silicone facemask sealer. I got it from an nonlinear dive shop a little while ago - it may be just what you are looking for. About $10.00/ ounce, but it lasts a long time with pillows.

The only thing I found on line (hence nonlinear?) was the pending patent for the stuff. Hmmmm. . .how to find? Call dive shops?
