OT - My Baby Girl, Julie

Post by Starlette » Thu Apr 25, 2013 9:55 pm

Good evening everyone.

My little girl, Julie, has been the reason why I have not visited the forum often since the end of this past December.
I have been very busy with her and training her as well. She is the shih tzu in the photograph. As of this past Friday, she is five months old.
The handsome dude to her left is Sabu. I have talked about him often on the form. He is 7 1/2 months old. DH and I consider them our children.
Just thought I would take the time to introduce Julie and Sabu to you.

What beautiful children you have.

Did you know I got a new kitty? Bengal this time. Man, is she hell on 4 paws.
I need to get a new picture of her but she won't hold still long enough. She cusses me out all the time and I know exactly what she is saying.

Julie is a doll. I have cats but I enjoy a sweet puppy as much as anyone. Sabu seems like a great guy too, perhaps the puppy is wearing him out, though I've always been told those herding types like to be kept busy.

ROFL RE: Cussing. DH and I can certainly relate! When Suni was cussing at us (who looked like Morris the cat), he'd walked by flicking his tail several times at us. We always thought that was his way of saying, "Screw you!"

This morning I let the dogs in from being outside for a while and Lilly was still on the couch..she doesn't quite know what to make of the dogs yet...but she didn't move off the couch to the bedroom (where I won't let the dogs go in and bother her) but I know the look I got...she didn't have to cuss me. Her scream wasn't at the dogs..it was meant for me and I got one of those "screw you" looks with the not so nice word. If looks could kill...I know where I would be.

She talks a lot. More than any cat I have ever had...even more than a Siamese. Some of it is nice cat talk and some of it she is flat telling me what for. The difference is very obvious.

My husband wasn't too keen on getting another cat (our last one had recently died) but you know me...I always get what I want and he didn't throw a fit. Funny thing....she took to him immediately. When he's home it's like I don't exist. Sleeps in his lap...never sleeps in my lap even when he's gone. So when she's being good and cute and funny and making him laugh...she's his cat. When she's bad..she's my cat.
He likes her because she has so much personality and makes him laugh. Also, she's the first one of any of our pets that has bonded with him and not me. Totally amazing since he is only home one maybe two days a week.

She already has run Sarge (the Pug dog) out of the bedroom at night. If he gets down off the bed she won't let him back in the bedroom.
Poor little guy is terrified of her. He sees her coming and he runs the other way and starts shaking all over.

Sabu looks like he got caught doing something wrong.

Whenever I try to put a costume or decoration on mine, she looks like she's just gotten a scolding and is ashamed of herself.

Sabu looks like his new name is:
JULIE, NO-NO.

ADORABLE!! Sabu looks like he's saying, "Are you kidding me? you want me to pose with this little thing?"

I have cats... but I LOVE dogs also.

And I love to see all the pets pictures... some day I will figure out how to upload one of my own!!

OMG, I just want to wrap my arms around Sabu. Looks like he's not getting so much attention with Julie around. Cute, cute, cute!

What kinda dog is Sabu? I have an Australian Shepherd. Sabu resembles her. Does Sabu have any Australian Shepherd in him? Sheriff

Sorry Sheriff, I didn't see your question. Yes, Sabu is a mix of herding blood: Australian Shepherd, Corgi and Basset Hound.

The Vet gave my son a dog a few years ago that was one of the ugliest things I had ever seen. He had the cutest personality though. He thought he could talk. When I got home from work he would come to the car and talk to me for a minute or so. It was the cutest thing. When he got though he would run around through the woods barking. I told my husband that Maxwell was telling off on him and as soon as I found a translator he would be in trouble. One day I came home and Maxwell didn't meet me at the car. To make a long story short one of hubby's friends knew Maxwell by another name. He had been lost for over 2 years. His original owner came by and Maxwell flew into his arms and the man was so happy he was crying. It had a happy ending but I miss Maxwell. He was the only dog that ever really tried to talk to me.
