Sounds like he's been eating genetically modified crackers (Quackers)! sounds like he doesn't know how sleep apnea works or is relieved, I do believe genetically modified arent our friends for two reasons, we don't know what they will do to the enviorment and normal crops will be changed by them, plus as more are used normal strains won't be around anymore. We will be as the mercy of the AG Barrons (Corps) Natural selection is much safer in the long run. Jim

Solent Green, will be the food of the future. Well need that Alien cook book, "To Serve Man"

As a consumer I support labeling of ingredients. Monsanto is cornering the seed market and soon it may be hard to find non- GMO alternatives, unless you grow it with natural seeds.Genetically modified Salmon may be introduced soon. He makes some good points about gluten. I have friends that have eliminated it from their diet and have have remarkable results. Can OSA be cured or reversed? I wouldn't say never but I'm sceptical..

Windows 98 SE to Win 7 plus Android ICS. Started on Commodore 64 & 128's. Used some Linux to repair Windows, soon learned don't try to repair just reformat and keep on trucking. The bad thing it takes many hours to get back up. I run 54 programs, I use 8TB of usb storage for files. I network 4 computers, so I can keep working if I need to reformat. Pretty stable. A friend of mine uses Linux on some he builds, but the progams I run are a must for me. Jim

I run mostly Linux from a little 64GB SSD. It used to crash (non-recoverable directory error - likely related to a bios related issue with the graphics adapter) every other month or so. I learned to use Clonezilla to hardware backup to my 1TB pretty fast server drive (recoverable full disk images) - then if crash only about five minutes to recover.

Now using the Amazon version of Android on a Kindle Fire HD. Just figured out that my Sprint HotSpot was a way to get pictures into the Kindle Fire HD - simply us an SD adapter in the Nikon L22 and put the Micro SD card in the HotSpot where it can be Samba mounted onto the WiFi network and shared by the ES File Explorer APP in the Kindle Fire HD.

One of the reasons I use LInux all the time is to keep Windows from crashing. Windows for me is banking, a few Windows only applications, and Netflix once in a while. I use it only about 2% of the time.

Have a great week!

Monsanto owns the US congress. If you want to stop Monsanto, you have to take back your government starting with local and state ... may be too late to take back the US government without a big fight.

I've read Wheat Belly and I agree in principle with what this guy is saying, although I think it's the elimination of many issues brought on by wheat and other grains, not the elimination of GMO's, that may be responsible for his improvement in apnea.

The real irony of that article is that wheat is technically NOT genetically modified, it has been HYBRIDIZED. As such, no matter how altered the genes are as a result of selective breeding, it wouldn't have to be labeled under a law requiring labeling of GMO's.

I agree with labeling GMO's so we all have the ability to choose if we want to ingest them or not, but labeling doesn't go far enough. We have to be knowledgeable consumers--it's a minefield out there.

Organic gardening, especially with heirloom crops, provides some of the safest, most delicious foods.
And no insecticides means we share with Nature, as was intended.

Not as cost effective, but as with most thing better does cost more. I love the older ways. I spent many hours setting in my aunt's garden with a salt shaker, eating tomatoes fresh off the vine. Strawberries were even more fun. Jim

There are newer ways too ... aquaponics.

Plus it is a great hobby for those more mechanically inclined that like to build and tweak stuff.

Low tech earth and compost, and even hugelkultur methods require little expertise or special equipment.
Limited water is used to best advantage. Our garden during last summer's drought was a fecund green splash
in a world of brown. It was lovely to eat so many bell peppers and fresh tomatoes--deee-lish!

Yes Hugelkulture and compost is a great way to grow your own veggies. Aquaponics however is way more efficient (space, energy, and water) ... one can easily produce enough protein and veggies to feed four adults every day, year around, in a space the size of a 2-car garage -- once the system is properly set up.
