Re: Filters
I buy in bulk from EBay sellers (some are online DME sources).
I have never really considered cutting my own filters...been afraid to. I don't know enough about the specs to know if I could find a generic big sheet of filter material and cut my own. Buying in bulk gets me to about a buck each for the hypoallerginic filters and I change it about once a month. I think my greatest fear would be using a filter material that was too "good" and cause the machine not to suck air like it should...maybe deliver suboptimal therapy pressure and/or cause machine to overheat somehow. Now if someone really knows the ins and outs of filter specs...maybe they could figure it out but I have no desire to for a buck a month.

						Re: Filters
Thanks so much for the recommendations. My filters have gotten pretty black, lately, in about 2 weeks. It used to be that I could go about a month or 6 weeks and it would get only light gray. Any idea why?? Thanks, DEAN

Re: Filters
Ha Ha. No, Altoona itself is somewhat of a railroad city ... but much less so than 50-100 years ago. And I live outside of town on the side of Brush Mountain. Active coal mines are quite a distance from us. DEAN
