After making my DME provider nuts while trying every nasal pillow they had, I finally settled on the Opus and am, for the most part very happy with it. The problem is that it is leaving red marks/indents on my cheeks.
Does a fellow Opus user have any thoughts or advice?
Thanks in advance
John

Make some fleece covers for the side staps...those little plastic things will leave dents..
Or you can buy some if you aren't handy. Padacheek makes great quality products. I have a similar fleece cheek strap cover for my Swift FX. Washable..and last forever. I have tried making my own but I am just not handy that way and they look like a 2 year old made them...they work but look ugly...so I buy my comfort items from Karen.

Re: Opus 360 headgear troubles
I started using an Opus mask in November. I put it away because the marks were so bad. When I read about Pad-A-Cheek, I decided to try the product they designed specifically for the Opus. To make a long story short, Pad-A-Cheek's cover for ther Opus is fantastic. Very comfortable and reduces marks by at least 90%. It's a must have product for the Opus imho.
One more thing about the Opus. I have always used medium sized pillows for my masks (Breeze, Adams Circuit, Swift FX). I find the large pillows work best for me with the Opus. Don't understand why but the mask leaks a lot less with the bigger pillows. Just thought I would pass that info along as well.
Buy the Pad-A-Cheek!

Re: Opus 360 headgear troubles
Well, after a week with my Pad-a-Cheeks onboard, I am waking up indent free. Are they a little pricy for what they are? Sure. Do they work? Absolutely.
For me, while I could probably make them, they would not be finished as nicely. Frankly my hat is off to Karen for coming up with a simple marketable idea and running with it.
Thanks for the tip. I'm a happy camper now.
