Resperonics Remstar plus
Resperonics Remstar plus
Can we sell our CPAP machines on this forum? I have upgraded to my resume S9 Autoset, and I do not need this machine anymore. It also, has the attached humidifier. If I can how can I set a price for the unit? It has all the parts and works great.
Re: Resperonics Remstar plus
Why would you not keep it for a backup machine?
If that S9 is your only machine, I'd definitely want to have something to fall back on if it quits for some reason. Even with warranty service, it can take up to six weeks to get one back from the factory.
Besides, the one you are thinking about trying to sell is only worth about $25.

I'm assuming this is what you have: PR System One REMstar Plus CPAP Machine with C-Flex. link: https://www.cpap.com/cpap-machine/respi ... cflex.html
Here's what data this machine supplies: Encore Data Management and Reporting - On-board memory has been added to the CPAP as well as storing information on a generic SD Memory card and reads through any SD card reader. This machine only tracks and shows compliance data through the on machine display or through the Encore Software. In other words, no cool flow lines, PB lines, etc etc.
You could probably snark somebody on the internet for $150 to $200, but why sell your karma so cheap (and I'm not implying that you would). I suggest selling it here for $50 or whatever as a backup machine or just keep it as a backup for yourself.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

I think you presume incorrectly.......Sir NoddinOff wrote:I'm assuming this is what you have: PR System One REMstar Plus CPAP Machine with C-Flex.

From what I read in some of his first posts in 2006 - 2008, it appears that he has the old Legacy model. In 2008, he was THINKING about getting an M-Series machine with A-Flex.
If that's the case and it's been used that long, it would have a ton of hours on it.
Just sayin'......

You could be right Wulfman, I've no experience with the legacy stuff other than the PR M-Series. If that's the case then it's definitely a backup machineWulfman... wrote:I think you presume incorrectly.......Sir NoddinOff wrote:I'm assuming this is what you have: PR System One REMstar Plus CPAP Machine with C-Flex.

Re: Resperonics Remstar plus
Actually, the M Series followed the Legacy series and predated the merger with Philips which then became the PR series models.
The Legacy models were made till about 2007. The M Series machines started hitting the market in 2006, so there was somewhat of an overlap of those two. And then, the PR models started in about late 2009 or early 2010.
The Legacy-style of machines are still used in the "OmniLab Advanced multi-mode titration system" machines that are used in sleep labs.
So, some of the old Legacy-style machines just keep plugging along in different forms and with different capabilities.
