Could I be allergic?

Post by Jewels109 » Sat Mar 09, 2013 12:23 pm

So I've had my mask about 2 weeks now and I have a red ring where my mask sits and blister like bumps..... Could I be allergic to silicon is that even possible? What should I do? Do they make non silicon masks?

It's possible that your skin is sensitive to the silicone. Check the padacheek mask liner for your hybrid mask..

Another solution if mask liners don't work was found be another member. Coat your face with milk of magnesia and let it dry. Then use the mask.

Some times it is not an allergy but contact dermatitis. The skin simply doesn't like to be smothered by materials like the mask. You may need to discuss it with a dermatologist.

Did you thoroughly wash it first before you wore it?

That's the biggest cause of what you're describing.......people didn't wash their masks first.
