Mirage Swift vrs new breeze

Post by Guest » Tue May 16, 2006 4:49 pm

Can anyone tell me if the Mirage Swift has nasal dialotors you can purchase for the unit? I know the Breeze does, but what about the Swift. Also, can you interchange the nasal pillows between the breeze and the Swift, or are they totally different.

Thank!
Chris

No, can't mix Swift and Breeze nasal pillows.
As far as "dialators", Swift comes with 3 sizes of nasal pillows (small, medium and large) if that is what you are refering to, Most people seem to prefer to use the large though I prefer the medium pillow. Hope this helps.

I have both these types of masks.
And as the previous writer indicated the pillows are not interchangeable between the two masks.

The swift pillows come in one unit (for both nostrils) with a "pre-chamber". You get small, medium and large sizes.

Breeze pillows come as two pillows, one for each nostril, that fit into a hard plastic plenum. These pillows also come in small, medium and large sizes. You can also get "dilator" pillows for the Breeze that are stiffer and go further in the nostril. These work really well if you have a deviated septum and the dilators get a really good seal but they aren't the most comfortable.

As with all nasal pillows, go one size up in size than you think you might need. My DME fitted me with medium but I ended up with large for both masks (and I'm an average sized woman with an average size nose).

I use the large, my wife likes the medium size.

One thing I do want to get is some spare parts. One guy pm'd me and told
me he lost the ....uh....slide on the Mirage Swift and ordered it overnight.
THAT was expensive for shipping.

So I figured I would just get the ahead of time.

I am new, never heard the term "dialators" in reference to our masks. I better
read up again.

Installing Software is like pushing a rope uphill.
I have Encore Pro 1.8.65 but could not find it listed
under software.

I LOVE the SV.
