Short Tube Recommendations

Post by kimbo » Tue Feb 05, 2013 9:55 pm

I've been using a Swift FX for the past 6 months and have grown to love the lightweight short hose that comes with the mask. The lightweight hose makes movement/shifting much less noticeable. I recently transitioned to a Hybrid mask that does not include a short tube and find that it is very uncomfortable with the mask hooked directly to my heavy climate-line tube. Even with a Hose Buddy hose management arm, it's just noticeably not as comfortable as a light weight short hose.

Does anyone have any recommendations on short tubes? Saw this one on CPAP.com -- but it seems to be made to fit the sleepweaver. This must be a common request?

This one is not light as the Swift hose but it is very flexible and makes the larger hose a little easier to deal with.

Thanks! Think I missed that one on CPAP.com -- i'll give that a try. Nonetheless, surprising how few options are out there for lightweight flexible hoses.

Keep in mind that it is short ... only about 8 or 9 inches but much more flexible than the standard CPAP hose plus it has a swivel fitting that mitigate having to torque the longer CPAP hose. It's what I used when I was trialing the Innomed Hybrid and Liberty masks way back in the day when looking for the right mask was still fun.

I use the heated hose from SleepZone (referred to as the Aussie heated hose). I also use the Innomed Hybrid. I needed a longer connection than the six-foot Aussie hose and it was really heavy connected right at my mask, so I added this one between the mask and the hose.

It's two feet of regular hose and did the trick for me.

The Sleepweaver Featherweight tube can be used with any mask- the hose ends are all standard. I currently use my Featherweight tube with the Pilairo- I don't think it would stay on my nose with the weight of the regular tube on it.

Thanks myconoclast -- exactly what I was looking for. Wanted to get the Sleepweaver tube but wasn't sure if it was universal.

I use the SleepWeaver hose with my F&P Forma mask and have no problems what so ever, it's light and it's flexible.
