How to read total hours on S9?

Post by Wonka » Mon Feb 04, 2013 6:13 pm

I'm selling two S-9 CPAP's. I'm being asked for the total hrs on each and have no idea how to get that information on the machines. How do I read the hrs on the display? I'm getting frustrated enough to say "the heck with it" and put them back in my closet. One was used by me for a year, the other backup machine was hardly every used (once in a while in the 2nd bedroom).

Try this.
click on the little i button upper right corner of the LCD screen. Turn the knob till you see "Service" menu.
Run hours should show up at the top.
If it doesn't....its available through the clinical menu setup area in the Service Menu.

I think it's in slightly different places depending on the firmware version.

However, "run hours" is the value you want.

BTW, "Run Hours" is slightly confusing because it includes the "cool down" time after you turn the machine off and the fan blows at a slow speed to cool down the water tank after you turn it off. This can add up to one hour to the "run" hours for each time you turn it off.

The motor life is affected by all operation, even the mild airflow of cool-down,
so that number is more accurate for determining machine wear.
I believe "usage" can be reset, so "run hours" is the only non-erasable parameter.
