News report on new cpap-like machine

Post by pgjackson » Wed Jan 30, 2013 12:38 pm

I saw a report on Fox 5 news last night about a new technology for treating apnea and snoring. It was a device that goes in your mouth and uses suction to raise the pallet. Anyone heard of this? I can't remember the name, but the guy said it hasn't been 100% approved yet. It wasn't a mouthpiece, it was a circular looking thing connected to a small box. So you would have a wire coming out of your mouth, but it looks like it would be a lot more comfortable than wearing a mask.

No hurricane blowing down my nose? Will I still be able to tape my mouth shut every night and shoot saline down my nostrils? Sounds too extreme
