Thank you for all of the tips. I will check into the sites you guys posted. You guys are awesome.

Thanks for the hugs and encouragement it means alot to me.

During the sleep study. I had 20-40 episodes a hour and with the epilepsy I had constant brain activity. Never hit Rem.

With the titration I hit dream state 2 or 3 times, I forget, and they said my level was a 9 (still dont know what that means) So I think that is a good thing. The next day I had crazy energy But developed a migraine so was on the couch all day. BUT couldn't sleep. lol. It would be good if I can get my BP down. my mom died of a massive stroke due to not controlled BP for so many years.

Best of luck, hope you get your machine soon. I know what it's like to have a big share of physical challenges and to have them stack up on you. Sleep is such an important part of physical and psychological well being. Taking action steps always makes me feel like I'm getting something done about things. Keep taking action.

I just went to a lecture where I learned that even if a person has insurance and a high deductible, organizations are waiting to help people out who are struggling to pay for RXs. I also learned that the Salvation Army has a program that helps people pay for RX's and they don't even ask for your income. So, it's not based on income but rather on need and some RX's are so costly that even people working can't afford them. Please check with your local hospital. I'm looking at the business card of the lecturer and it has her name and Title. It is 'Medication Assistance Program Coordinator, Financial Counselor, Revenue Services' and the person has a CIRS-A after her name. You don't need to be a medicare/medicaid recipient to get help from this person. You might have such a person in your area.

I beileve 9 is the pressure setting prescribed to set your machine to... a pretty average one. If you ever go onto Auto (vs straight Cpap) you'll likely set your machine to e.g. 7 or 8 (low marker) and 10-12 for the higher one... but wait and see how things go and good luck!

Thank you guys for your support and love. I go tomorrow to get a run down on how much everything will be for sure and try on masks. I am going to get a list and see what I can do for financial aide. I am hoping to get my machine soon. I am in so much pain i feel like my head is exploding. My neuro is not going to help me with the headaches until I have been on the machine with no improvement for 7 days. These daily headaches are the pits. and I am so tired. all the time. even with 10 hours sleep. My concerta isnt working much anymore to wake me up. Things seem to be changing. They increased my Celexa and I think that made me more tired. They are increasing my Geodon too. just waiting for the new RX to get here. I hope my mental problems will get better with the cpap too.

This shows that cpap will help you. It may take a few weeks to get things in gear and balanced. You may experience more body aches as you end up sleeping in the same position for several hours so be prepared for that. You may need a mattress topper, in a pinch some old duvets will do.
Keep an eye on your BP and all your meds. In fact keep a detailed journal of exactly how you feel each day. Many people on medication find that their dosages have to be adjusted down after their xpap therapy is optimized.

The morning (ok all day) migraine was one of the 1st things that changed for me with CPAP therapy.

Good luck.
