One Month on CPAP - Major Disappointment
Re: One Month on CPAP - Major Disappointment
I was not going to post ever again, but I came back one last time because today I'm full of energy.
It's very ironic and very strange. But yes this will be my final post for real this time.
I really hope I continue having plenty of energy for a long time.
I'm going to continue using straight CPAP mode, pressure of 8, C-flex off.
If the energy holds, I will try hard to lose a lot of weight, and then probably be able to cut my pressure
down to 6 or 5. What I really hope for of course is to be off this CPAP for good, but I realize the chances are not
high.
Like I said before I'm not trolling, not lying, and I'm not on any drugs. I'm perfectly sober too (I drank last night,
this morning I'm fine.) All I can say is for some strange reason I woke up full of energy. Here's to several good years.
Goodbye and good luck to all, I hope you achieve success with your therapy.

And if you had come back and apologized for your horrible comments to and about Dori, I might buy it. And if you're not trolling, lying, drinking or on drugs -- then the only other thing we can conclude is that you are just one horrible, awful, hateful human being.Mozart22 wrote:Like I said before I'm not trolling, not lying, and I'm not on any drugs. Please, let it go. With any luck he will go somewhere else to whine and denigrate the people trying to help him. If he never posts again it will be too soon!

Re: One Month on CPAP - Major Disappointment
I know, I know, this will go to the top again but here's another "irony". Today I took Mike's 2 Purple Hearts, Bronze Star and Silver Star out of their velvet-lined cabinet, stroked them gently, read once again the personal handwritten letter he received from the Colonel of his battalion who highly commended Mike for his bravery in pulling a comrade to safety while he himself was badly wounded and in the line of fire. He and his buddy survived after many months in a hospital, but his Colonel later died in another battle. So sleep well my friends, all is well with this "old lady" and her "old man"!Mozart22 wrote:I woke up this morning full of energy. I did laundry, cleaned the apartment, dishes. Now I'm going out to run errands.
I swear I'm not trolling, I'm full of energy today. I don't know why. Straight CPAP mode, C Flex off, pressure of 8.
The LCD screen says AHI is 0.0.
You gotta love the irony, it was Dori who first suggested I try straight CPAP mode. I did for a couple days, but with bad results. My pressure
was 9, then 7. But a pressure of 8 is working well for some reason.

Mike receives 100% disability payments and a small stipend for me. We don't pay taxes on it nor do we pay real estate taxes on our home. We also have the use of the Commissary located at a base very near us which saves us quite a bit on groceries. So we're grateful although we'd give it back in a heartbeat if he were whole again.

Re: One Month on CPAP - Major Disappointment
I did not say I did not like you. Rather, I would submit that your reply simply reinforces the above assessment:Mozart22 wrote:You and me clearly don't like each other...
Consequently, you are trying to convince others (and yourself) that you have a "right" to retaliate, even before there is a (perceived) need.Schubert22 wrote:An overwhelming fear of failure causes him to destroy any positive accomplishments ("I'll get you before you have a chance to get me" (thus avoiding "failure")) also explaining the previously noted inability to establish relationships.
As was previously noted (using Bathroom (More or Less) Metaphors), you have built your own prison cell. While there is a key, you choose not to use it (different from not knowing how to use it) and are a prisoner of your own desires.
Besides, fast forwarding along the Continuum of Self Satisfaction and Realization, there comes the understanding that significant happiness and peace of mind can be achieved when one deals with these (attacks, insults, violations of personal space, whatever) by surrendering the right to retaliate.
By surrendering the right to retaliate.
Pardoxically, this behavior is not a sign of weakness, but rather a sign of strength (because it is far more difficult (at least at the beginning) to adopt).
You too, son.Mozart22 wrote:Goodbye and good luck to all, I hope you achieve success with your therapy.
Re: One Month on CPAP - Major Disappointment
And yet, I'm sure there's a part of him that wouldn't change a thing, regardless.DoriC wrote:So we're grateful although we'd give it back in a heartbeat if he were whole again.
Further, people who matter appreciate the sacrifice, no matter how great or small.
Perhaps this guy summed it up best (the Bixby Letter):
Dear Madam,
I have been shown in the files of the War Department a statement of the Adjutant General of Massachusetts that you are the mother of five sons who have died gloriously on the field of battle.
I feel how weak and fruitless must be any word of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering you the consolation that may be found in the thanks of the republic they died to save. I pray that our Heavenly Father may assuage the anguish of your bereavement, and leave you only the cherished memory of the loved and lost, and the solemn pride that must be yours to have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of freedom.
Yours, very sincerely and respectfully,
A Lincoln.

Dori, I second the HUG from frog & I want to thank Mike & You for the great service & sacrifice you have made to our country.
Please thank him for me, he is one of our heros we can't thank enough.
As for motzart22, he has more problems than carter has liver pills, may he seeks his answers elsewhere. I had a suggestion as I read the post, but after reading entire post, decided he doesn't deserve my time, so I'm done with him too.

Re: One Month on CPAP - Major Disappointment
Thanks to all the "composers" who have written so beautifully and for all the hugs coming my way. I'm feeling a little down today so they mean a lot to me. I never read President Lincoln's letter before(thanks for the tears) so I printed it out to show Mike. In a strange way I almost want to thank the OP for his outrageous comments because what he really did was bring out the very best in people and brought us even closer as forum buddies! As far as I'm concerned we can close this thread and get back to the business of helping one another succeed in our therapy.
