On Autogenics...I've done quite a bit of reading about it over the last two days. For sure one has to make a full-time commitment to it. A coach would definitely be helpful. I've tried it a few times and keep losing track, which makes me very frustrated! I suppose I'm looking for that magic pill, which I don't think is happening anytime soon.

To everyone in this thread - I wish you a healthy, happy New Year
Yes it is a commitment. But once it becomes a habit it is just that - something you do at odd moments of the day. And it is quieter then a didgeridoo!
Timing that one minute definitely is tricky at first. Having someone gently help you with the timing is immensely helpful.

Try and find a gentle timer and just do the first group (arms) and cancel for a few days. That is how I was taught. After you have that and the timing down then every few days add another phrase.
The other thing is do it in no more then 5 minute lots at the time. It is better to do them scattered through out the day then to spend a half an hour doing it.
