It is cold. I hate Edmonton. Did I say it was cold?
I made a hat for the dog so its ears won't freeze. It is that cold."

It's bitterly cold here too - the cold air is ALWAYS coming down from Canada - can't you people control yourselves - we need to invade and end this yearly invasion of our air space with the cold air that Canada is always dumping on us ( while they all winter in south Florida)
I blame my daughter who lives in the Yukon, north of here, next door to Alaska . About a week ago it was -46c there. This week it was warmer. She called me and said "It is much warmer now only -17c " It is -24c here.

Except the good ones seem to cost $$$ and I'm "frugal" (cheap).

You could use a proxy, but of course, that slows things down a little bit, but for occasional use, I imagine it's NBD.

Blackspinner: My daughter flew south for the holiday - as in down to Ancorage, AK. She lives in a teeny tiny village in Nome County (pop. 228), and the only way in is twin engine plane or dog sled. Normal is 45 mph sustained winds off the Bering Strait. She was looking forward to seeing her first automobile in 6 months - and a grocery store, and a fast food restaurant......

But 30 degree weather is awful. The only thing that might make it tolerable is the wind. I don't like wilting in 30+ with stupidly high humidexes.

I thought Firefox had a "Do not track" add-on. Would that work?

Probably Teamster. But on the other hand, I am old enough to have been a teamster.

teamster (n.)
"person who drives a team of horses" (especially in hauling freight), 1777, from team (n.) + -ster. Transferred to motor truck drivers by 1907.

Tornados do not sound like a freight train, they sound more like a BIG jet engine directly overhead when you are only a few hundred feet away (from the tornado). Such an unpleasant end to what was otherwise a nice, quiet, peaceful Christmas Day.

I am old enough to remember when tornadoes sounded like freight trains. This was before jets were in the sky.

Tornadoes evolved with technology. This helps ensure the survival of the tornado species.

LOL! In that case, I wish they HAD NOT evolved.
