It's white, wet, heavy, and I didn't go to work today.
The sun is shining and it's trying desperately to melt.
I did a little shoveling, and it's like wet cement.

I just can't wait another month! I'm going to break down and order an Elan this morning.

How long do the cloth cushions last on these masks?

I notice they start getting a little scratchy after a month, but I have one I've worn for 81 nights.
As always, Your mileage may vary.

I slept with my Elan part of the night last night, but around 3:00 I had to switch to my Activa, due to leaks I could not get to stop at that point. So I think I will order the small, and Merry Christmas to me!

Thank you for letting us know it was available.

As long as they are on sale, you can get the starter kit and the small cushion for less than a lot of us paid for just the starter kit.

My (factory-made) small cushions have arrived. They are perfect!
I used one last night. I am never using another medium!
I have two medium (regular) cushions to trade for smalls in case someone buys a small,
it doesn't work, and you can't return it.
Pink--opened, but never used; Blue--used once, washed, put away.
I am keeping another medium that I have already disassembled, marked,
and plan to cut down and reassemble to my size (custom; I'm a seamstress frog, too)
Please PM me if you want to trade.

O joy! O rapture unforeseen-- I love my élan . I bought the first kit as a treat for myself; I was started on the Advanced by a Lincare rep ( believe it or not). On Tues. my doc gave me a prescription for the élan so my insurance should now pay for that. I have rarely had a leak problem-- I feel like the straps are there to position the mask; then, the mask seems to seal itself once the air is on.No strap marks ever--

Thanks for letting us know, Froggy-- Piglet

Froggy, thanks for the report on how it worked for you. Mine came while I was out of town for a couple of days, but I've now swapped out the regular/medium for the small and will be trying it tonight. I hope I swapped it correctly....

(On the plus side, it was my first time traveling -- car trip -- with my equipment since I start CPAP therapy 3.5 weeks ago, and everything fit beautifully in my new travel bag and worked just fine! )

Oh me oh my, the small cushion worked very well. Plenty of breathing room, and I don't feel like it's practically covering my eyes like the regular/medium size. Though not a seamstress flower () I may need to make a snip or two to ensure the nose hole is big enough for my big ol' schnoz, but otherwise it fits good.

Me likey.

Got my new small cushion on Friday. I've used it two nights now. I agree with Flower, I like it staying out of my eyes, but it seems a little tight underneath my nose. Maybe more strap adjustment is in order.
I also have used a night guard for twelve years.

I have loosened the straps a lot as compared with the medium cushion. It was more comfortable last night, but seemed to leak more. It needs a little tweaking, but overall I love it!

My leak rates vary a lot. I think the problem is the headgear design,
and the fact there is no way to keep your strap adjustments.
I can get the top straps about right, but the bottom straps are always trial and error.
My straps have creases in them now, which does make it easier.

I had practically zero leaks after the first night using the small cushion, just a bit when I first was putting it on and getting it settled. I haven't looked at my data yet for last night. But I was excited about the 'no leaks' on the first night.

With regard to the straps in general, I get the top straps dialed in and never change them, and only loosen the bottom straps to take it off and on. Not sure I have the top straps dialed in yet after changing to the small cushion, despite the lack of leaks the first night.
