I'll give it a few more nights to confirm, but it looks like I made some progress in using the machine. (Too bad I left my SD card in my PC last night!)

Tiny drop in 95% pressure from 10.2 to 10
My 95% leak went from 7L/min to 3L/min
My AHI/hr went from 4.5 to .4

So I cut my leak rate in half and my AHI went way down. I think I've got a far better fit on the mask. I'll have to give it a few more nights to be sure. But the high pressure blowout seems to be gone. I suspect it may have been reading some of the mask leaks as AHI events?

The medical equipment place had called me with a reminder to set up the appointment with my sleep doctor. Is this the kind of thing he'd go over and suggest changes for?

Your machine should still have your info from last night. Insert your sd card and give a minute or 2, then you can check it again on your pc.
I have done this a couple of times on my PRS1 and it still saves the data. Try it and see.

Looks like DarthVaderFace has a S9 and it isn't as forgiving about not having the SD card in the machine as your PR S1 machine is.
There won't be anything to write on the SD card except some basic compliance usage and some summary data.
The SD card for the S9 must be in the machine over night to get the high def detailed data (which are the main graphs and such).
When using ResScan the summary usage stuff will be available but if using SleepyHead it will likely show no use because SleepyHead needs the detailed data to pull from to give the AHI and summary compliance usage. I have a couple of such nights in SleepyHead (says no data at all) but in ResScan I have at least hours of use and some AHI numbers.
So for insurance compliance needs...not a big deal if the SD card is left out overnight but for looking at the detailed graphs you lose them.
The information that the machine shows on the LCD screen is still available though. It is the limited summary usage that I mention.

Respironics PR S1 users...only lose waveform graphs when the SD card is left out of the machine because it stores a lot more data on its internal storage.
ResMed S9 users....lose a lot more and only some minimal usage data is stored on the machine to be written to the SD card if it has been left out.

Just wanted to chime in that the Quattro can be a difficult mask to tame if your face differs even slightly from what Re$med considers "normal." Also, it doesn't seem to like side or active sleepers.

If you have mouth breathing issues that can't be addressed with a chin strap, I highly recommend either the Hybrid or Liberty hybrid-style masks.
When in doubt, open the case. Remember: If you can't open it, you don't own it!

Prescribed APAP range - 6-10 cm/H2O, titrated at 8.
Current range - 9.0-11.5 cm/H2O - still searching for the magic "zero night" but averaging 2.2 AHI

If you're lucky and have a good doctor.

The reason the DME is urging followup is that they don't get paid to supply the machine without you having a face to face doctor visit in the first 90 days (Medicare regulation).

A spare SD card helps: put the new one in when you pull the old one out; then forgetting is forgiven.
You can buy a cheap 2G one at some dollar stores.
As mentioned by DiverCTHunter, some of us do not fit the Resmed sizing model.
In my case, it was impossible to maintain a good seal up top and at the bottom simultaneously with any Re$med ffm.
I went with a Respironics ComfortGelFull face mask, which has a deeper cushion,
which will accommodate a larger range of face shapes.

This will be interesting, I'm not under medicare. But I actually never met my doctor. My PCP referred me to a place which does sleep studies. They did they study, then the doctor who I never saw evaluated the sleep study and wrote his report. My PCP then contacted the durable medical place and set things up.

So the durable medical equipment company wants me to see the doctor who interpreted the sleep study, but I never actually have seen or consulted with. Kind of odd. I guess I have to figure out if he sees patients?

I did that: made a follow-up appointment with the anonymous doc who read my sleep study.
Brought along print-outs from ResScan--summary and just enough detail to blow his mind.
