Wish list for Santa

Post by Starlette » Sun Dec 09, 2012 2:28 pm

Good afternoon everyone.

What if Santa was real? What if a couple of weeks before Christmas we could give him our cpap wish list regarding our equipment and on Christmas Eve he would magically come down the chimney and place under the Christmas tree "reconstructed equipment" that would meet our needs exactly? Then of course, after such a delicate endeavor we would show our sincerest appreciation by preparing a tall glass of cold milk with some freshly baked cookies. Or, since he's never had to fill such a long list such as this, he may rather prefer a large cup of hot chocolate with some hooch in it. Thought it would be interesting to hear from folks if this could actually happen, what kind of wish list would you present to Santa? Thought this would be something to do for fun

Me? I wish there was some type of clips on my Hybrid that would attach the mouthpiece to the the mask itself. So many times the two have separated, and before going to bed I have to sit there and reassemble the two. As for the machine itself, I wish the buzzard was much louder when I remove the mask in my sleep so I can put it on quickly.

Well, greatunclebill, I would agree with you, no equipments, no pills, no other devices at all, just healthy. That would be a lot of miracles in my case, but we all need to dream don't we.

In terms of CPAP, I just want my mouth to stay shut during sleep! Failing that, I think I would ask Santa for the Liberty or Innomed hybrid masks.

you have to assume that a lot of R & D has gone into developing a good ffm that works and is very comfortable, yet they all seem pretty crummy - I wonder what the big problem is?

1. Cure.
2. In the absence of #1, mandibular advancement device that won't change my bite and will completely treat my EDS.
3. In the absence of #1 or #2, no aerophagia.
4. Able to keep mouth shut with no crazy S&M style chinstraps.

I wish for Santa to stop being in denial and get a sleep study , what's up with: I'm a night person, delivering gifts during night shift?
oh and he would totally need a full face mask
sleep tight santa,
dreamrobot

I don't care who you are, that's funny Dreamrobot!

For my wish, besides a complete cure like greatunclebill, jencat824, and SleepingUgly posted about, is to have a lifetime supply of my nasal mask which has been perfect for my face from day one . I am so afraid that at some point it will unfortunately be 'improved' upon , or worst, discontinued altogether , and I will have to try to find something else that will work at the same level of quality and comfort that I have enjoyed up to this point .
