The heat

Post by Shadow2 » Sun Nov 25, 2012 6:23 am

Hi the weather in Australia is heating up and I just don't know if I will be able to tolerate the chin strap. This will be my first summer on cpap.

Don't they have air conditioning down under?

How many full face masks have you tried?

Nasal pillows were the most comfortable for me, until I got my élan.
The most agreeable chin strap for me is the thin strap sullivan with the straps split to stay up.

PS: inside out doesn't work as well as putting a scrap of baby fleece inside the cup.

The Innomed Hybrid keeps the chin up. Add a thin liner to the mouth cover to help absorb the sweat.

A fan pointed to the bed also helps.

Some people put ice in their humidifier.
