do you unplug your machine

I use a UPS on my CPAP because when there is a power loss (daily here in the deep south) it comes on. The UPS helps it not see the power loss. This is an 18 year old Remstar - no lighted buttons, the on-off is a momentary toggle on the center back of the machine. The ramp is a button that takes up a third of the top and, well, those are the only two external controls. The pressure adjustment is on the inside. But the reality is that I have not used the ramp since the first few months.

When we have power loss at night, the UPSs will run the CPAP for a couple hours. If it is a five minute power loss I might be able to sleep through it.

I leave my REMStar Auto plugged in 24/7. Buttons are lit. Mine is on the bottom shelf of a night table and I sure don't notice the lights with my eyes closed while I'm sleeping. They don't really light anything up. They more or less just glow so you can see them. Again... they are really out of my line of sight.

I reach over at night and touch button that warms up the heated humidifier. When I put my mask on I breathe a couple of times and the machine starts automatically.

It just doesn't get much easier than that.

Now if I could only get the DOG to stop waking me up every morning at about 5:30......

Yardbird I see you were titrated at 8 and you run your auto 6 - 10. Where does your machine spend most of its time and how is your AHI at the different pressures?

I was titrated at 9 and my AHI/Pressure data showed 9 as my sweet spot so I tried my APAP 8-10 one night and my AHI jumped to 5.2 !!! GRRR. I've throttled it back to 6-9.5 but very weird.
