Hi, there
Glad to be here and see we poor souls help each other.
I have tried several different masks: nasal pillow, nasal mask, full face mask. I like the nasal mask most. but sometimes still feel difficulty to breath. (stuff nose?) I am trying the nasal pillow solution, but always feel cold and dry in nose after I wake up in the morning? Any hint to solve the problem?
Thanks

Make sure your humidifier is on any time you shut your CPAP off-or if it shuts off automatically for any reason. The blower and the heated humidifier shut off together but turn on individually. I've turn off the CPAP at night to adjust my mask and forgotten to turn the humidifier on again when I turn the blower on.

This is very good advice, wolffromsouth, but it's also possible that you need a higher level of humidity.krousseau wrote:Make sure your humidifier is on any time you shut your CPAP off-or if it shuts off automatically for any reason. Here are the instructions provided for changing the setting (a higher number equates to more humidity):
"The ideal humidity setting depends on room temperature and humidity. Initially a setting of 2 is recommended. You can adjust this setting at any time. Press and hold the humidifier button on the CPAP device. The humidifier symbol and setting will appear. Press the humidifier or ramp buttons to change the setting."
I also preheat the water by turning on the humidifier while I brush my teeth, etc. It will turn off after 20 minutes unless the air flow is turned on.
Good luck in solving your problem.
