ComfortLite 2 Nasal Pillow Sizes

Post by itsme » Sun Apr 30, 2006 9:54 pm

Thinking about purchasing one, anyone know the correct way to decide what size pillows I need? I currently use the Medium ones for my Swift.

Thanks

I think everyone should order "medium" and "large" for choice of nasal pillows sizes in the ComfortLite 2. And in the Breeze with nasal pillows, for that matter.

Pillow Sizes

I would agree with RG. I am able to use either the medium or the large, but prefer the large because it does not need to actually go into the nare, but just rests against it. If you are a small you will probably have a similar result with the medium.

I guess the only exception would be someone who had REALLY tiny nares, and you would know if that applied to you.

Are the pillows identical on the ComfortLite and the CL2?

I would really recommend going on to the Respironics website and using their sizing guide to determine what size is best for you. I originally ordered medium and large because that seemed standard. But the medium was too big, leaked like crazy, and gave me a little sore. After a week I couldn't take it anymore and went back online to order a small. The small is a perfect fit - minimal leakage, no discomfort, no sores. I could have saved myself some aggravation and money by using the sizing chart.

P.S. I don't consider myself to have tiny nares, or even a very small nose. I'm female, and about 5'9.

Any idea where on their website this information would be located? All I can find is a pdf that mentions the bag has a sizing guide. Would be nice to know for sure before I order... Thanks!

Try this web sire:

http://www.comfortseries.respironics.com

When that comes up, click on the line about getting more info on comfortlite2 and then on the next page you'll see in bold letters "FITTING." Click on that and it will take you to the fitting guides. You can print them out and measure yourself to a certain degree.

Ok, I used the Direct Seal Sizing Gauge even though I'm going to go with the pillows (didnt see a sizing chart for pillows on there). And the 1/2/3 section is the perfect size for my nares... any idea what that means?

Thanks

Interesting. I'm female, 5'2", small nose, small nares. I can use Medium or Large, either size, pillows in the "Headrest", CL2, and Swift (the few times I used the Swift.) Large pillows in the Breeze.

Just goes to show how different everyone is when it comes to mask stuff.
