Don't buy these from a brick and mortar DME--you will get much better bang for your buck with an online supplier like our hosts, cpap.com. Then you can probably fill your whole wish list. Kaiser is pretty good about mask supplies, so you can use their mask for both machines (as long as it's on their formulary) and put that money toward your battery backup.

Hi Cosmo, and welcome to the board.
Unless you really want one, there may not be a need for a "Travel CPAP Machine"?
My machine came with a carry case that has room for the machine, humidifier, hose, mask and power pack. I just dump the water out of the humidifier, and it all packs away in a few minutes, and I'm ready to go. I've used it in a hotel, and in our RV without a problem.
I'd suggest that, instead of the travel machine, put the money toward a battery backup.

Just a small thing...get yourself a tube of Lansinoh lanolin. It goes a long way in preventing irritation where your mask/nasal pillows meet your flesh. It also helps to create a better seal.

Welcome Cosmo, You and I are of similar build. I went from 168 to 140ish post xPAP and following a low carb diet. While it didn't cure me, I feel more energy and better all and all so you might want to consider a weight loss plan once you start on xPAP and you will likely find the weight will come off better and with far less stress as in my case.
I'm not saying this to make you think that weight loss will cure you as this is a highly contested conversation on this board BUT to let you know that along with the xPAP, you could greatly benefit health-wise in dropping say 15 to 20 lbs and that doing so seems easier once on therapy for your breathing problems.
Good luck

Look at hose management systems, I like the Hozer. http://www.cpapusa.com/search/HoZer-CPA ... T1000.html. , there are several different ones, or you could make your own. I would use the DME machine for travel \ backup, no need for a dedicated travel machine, they are all about the same size. You will want a battery back up. Cheers. kathy
Any landing you walk away from is a good one; if you don't break your airplane it's excellent.

If your insurance is paying for your machine and supplies 100%, I see where you need to use up your FSA funds.
(besides a travel or back-up machine--and accessories)
You can order masks, with (or without) return insurance, and find what REALLY fits you.
Your FSA may cover a battery back-up, provided it is CPAP-specific (YMMV)
--That can be a very expensive item, but in case of a storm, or whatever, you may wish you had one.
